About
Ian and Dan both grew up in central Massachusetts and have been involved in many musical projects. They have been writing and performing together for over thirteen years now. Based between Boston, MA and New York City, they have performed all over New England and New York. Some of their notable clients include Dell, Mendix, Winslow Technology Group, New England Biolabs, and Onsystex. As an extremely mobile duo-band, they have traveled as far as California, and even Peru! They deliver any type of musical environment you could want, from quiet atmospheric music, to rocking a crowd dancing, and even children's music! Ian and Dan are top notch entertainment for private, public, and corporate events of any size, and cannot wait to entertain you!
Ian Hayes
Born and raised outside of Worcester, MA, Ian now lives in New York City. He has been performing music for over 20 years, quickly falling in love with singing as a child and has proceeded to sing as much as he possibly could every day since. Though never having a drum set of his own or ever taking lessons, Ian has always been fascinated with rhythm and drums. Growing up, he was always called out for tapping on tables and his legs in class and at home, but it all paid off. His djembe is the first drum Ian has ever owned, and it has given him seven years (and counting) of wonder and growth. He is eternally grateful to it for enabling him to share his deep love of music with so many people, and he hopes to share it with you too.
Dan Barrenechea
Dan Barrenechea grew up in a Peruvian family in Central MA and now lives in Brooklyn, NY. Under the artist name Dan Barracuda, he works as a producer, composer, audio engineer, session guitarist, and film score composer. Though he plays a variety of instruments, the guitar has always been his #1 love - whether it be acoustic, electric, nylon, 12 string, sitar, bass, or charango! His heart lies in composing & producing original music, utilizing elements of progressive and classic rock, world, folk, ambient, and alternative. Outside of his musical endeavors, Dan enjoys being with friends & family, comedy, meditation, and eating all different kinds of food!
